Coaching for Courageous Life and Work

I offer three coaching formats, each designed for a different situation. Individual leaders work with me one-on-one. Project teams bring me in when complex work has stalled or needs focused support to reach the finish line. And small groups of peers or colleagues come together for cohort coaching that’s collaborative, confidential, and surprisingly fun.

All coaching with me is grounded in a whole-person approach: we look at who you are, not just what you do. Sessions are available online and, where noted, in person.

“Babs doesn’t tell you what to do, she asks questions and gives homework that you do or don’t do according to how committed you are to yourself. If you are ready to take responsibility for how you show up as a leader, I highly recommend working with her.”

— L., Forestry Executive

“I’d like to have Babs sit in the corner of my office where I could turn to her anytime I want for an uplifting chat, wise counsel, and mentorship.”

— L., Public Sector CEO

Project Coaching

When a leadership-driven project stalls, the consequences go beyond missed deadlines. Team credibility takes a hit. Organizational trust frays. The energy that got things started in the first place slowly drains away. And the project itself, one that the organization needs to succeed, sits unfinished.

Project Coaching is a focused engagement where I work alongside the project leader or team to bring complex, time-sensitive work to completion. You remain the experts and the owners. I bring structure, accountability, and outside perspective that helps you see clearly when you’re deep in the weeds.

As your project coach, I:

  • Provide an accountability framework that keeps goals visible and momentum real
  • Help design a project approach that creates space for your vision, research, and engagement
  • Bring proven project management practices and resources to support your team’s work
  • Ask the questions nobody else on the team is asking

Project Coaching is available in person or online.

“Working with, by, and for community is critical to how we do our work. Babs immediately understood what that would mean and worked with us on designing an inclusive and relaxed process. Her way of holding space and connecting people and ideas resulted in a freaking awesome gathering.”

— T., Board Chair, Non-profit Organization

Cohort Coaching

Leadership development doesn’t have to happen alone. Cohort Coaching brings together a small group of four to six colleagues, peers, or friends for a shared coaching experience that is confidential, energizing, and, honestly, a lot of fun.

Together, the group works on:

  • Setting and celebrating professional aspirations and goals
  • Being generously and kindly accountable to one another
  • Building the habits, beliefs, and leadership stories that will carry you forward
  • Learning from each other’s experiences in ways that don’t happen in a boardroom

You set the pace and the schedule, anywhere from one to ten 90-minute sessions. I guide every conversation.

This format works especially well for peer leadership groups, cohorts of new managers, executive teams wanting to grow together, or friends who are ready to take their professional lives seriously in community with each other.

Cohort Coaching sessions are available in person or online.

“My coaching sessions with Babs are the highlight of my work schedule. They are actually fun, even when I arrive frustrated or feeling overwhelmed with work.”

— R., Public Library Director

Not Sure Which Format Is Right for You?

That’s exactly what the free consultation is for. In 30 minutes over online video, we’ll talk about where you are, what you’re working toward, and which coaching format (or combination) makes the most sense.

No commitment, no pressure. Just a conversation.
